De inspiratie komt uit het oude Egypte, dat de art-decokunstenaars van de jaren twintig fascineerde. Isis is effen, Palmyre toont stervormige palmbladeren in brons op groenblauw en Assouan gebogen strepen in goud, bijvoorbeeld op wit. Kheops maakt er ruiten van, in de lijn van art deco behang.
Op een wand met veel daglicht komen goud en lijnen het best tot hun recht; het behang is goed lichtbestendig.
